TPACK is a model to approach education technology and specifically, integration. Teachers perform optimally where these concentric areas intersect. The TPACK model combines Technological Knowledge, Content Knowledge, and Pedagogical Knowledge with the goal that each of the three areas are applied equally.

The TPACK model parallels Vartek’s professional development model for coaching teachers. TPACK also models how to teach with technology, providing a framework for innovative thinking and planning in the classroom.
Technical Knowledge, or knowledge about technology including working with tools, resources, hardware, software, and security guidelines, is supported most directly by Vartek’s team of EdTech Leaders, Engineering Resource Center, and Leadership.
Pedagogical Knowledge, knowledge about education and pedagogy, including best practices in teaching and learning is provided by the Integration Team and Classroom Technology Coaches.
Finally, Content Knowledge, about the subject or area to be taught, represents many groups of individuals given any particular situation, primarily focused on school leadership, district teachers, and Classroom Technology Coaches. Vartek’s team uniquely provides support in each area of the TPACK Model.
